Seeing Jesus in Psalm 106

  Psalm 106 Need a boost? Then this is the Psalm for you. Oh not a sugar-coated, lying boost of falsehoods but a real-life emotional rollercoaster of a relationship that shows how much of a hero God is for His people and an invitation for you to join. In fact the Psalm starts and ends with the opportunity to Praise the Lord. And not just randomly but with reasons, because God is good. Good? you may ask, and the author says Yes, of course good--look, His faithful love endures forever. And we all know forever is a really long time. You’ll need forever, though, because you have been challenged to make a list of all of God’s glorious miracles and of course, that will take you forever. So get on with it. Make your list. I have made such a list and found indeed I didn’t have enough time or paper to complete it. The glorious miracles of God are more than we can count. You can start with a couple of personal miracles. Seeing Jesus in Psalm 66

  Psalm 66 MAIN POINT: God is working everything out for the good of those who love him. “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”  Romans 8:28 I believe Psalm 66 is inviting you to recognize God’s sovereignty. In doing so you will discover His love. If you confess God's mighty power to work all things out, then you will be moved to praise God. Jesus was clear about the level of detail in God’s planning and purposes.  29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
